By default, COVSY processes your documents locally on your device using:

  • Apple's Vision framework for OCR
  • PDFKit for text extraction
  • Local keyword search algorithms
  • Only relevant document excerpts (not full documents) are sent to our AI service
  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • AI processing data is not stored permanently
  • You can disable cloud features at any time
